Tote bags are a staple of the promotional products industry. Whether they’re given out at trade shows, conventions or as gift bags, their reusable qualities and imprinting ability makes them pretty much a perfect promo item.
It helps that tote bags have been pretty fashionable lately, too. One New Yorker tote bag has been something of a statement piece for its subscribers. It’s been so popular that the magazine has given out about 500,000 of them.
Tote bag style and design hasn’t changed much, but one bag that critics are hailing as the next must-have bag might cause some problems for promotional distributors looking to imprint the next hot item.
Popsugar lauded the net bag, aka a farmer’s market tote, as the next “it” bag. What’s best about it is it costs only $5 from the likes of Amazon. With that minimalist and urban rustic style all the rage right now, something as simple as this rope bag could be huge.
The problem? It might be kind of hard to imprint. With tote bags, clients could stamp their logo right on the sides for easy visibility. With a rope bag, it’s a bit harder to imprint a larger logo.
What do you think? Could this make its way into the promo space? How could you decorate it?
