Taylor Swift Celebrates Honorary Doctorate From NYU With Full Line of Graduation-Themed Merch

After relocating to the Big Apple like so many other 20-somethings, Taylor Swift is receiving one of the highest honors a New Yorker can achieve—an honorary doctorate from New York University.

To go along with Swift becoming an official alum of NYU and her upcoming address at the university’s graduation ceremony on May 18, she’s releasing a new collection of college graduation-themed merchandise called “I’m Feeling 22,” named after her song “22,” the class of 2022 and the age of most college graduates.

How’s that for the theming stars aligning?

The products are available now, with plenty of time for graduating Swifties to deck out their caps with patches and tassel charms.

There are also collegiate looking apparel items, like a “Class of 2022” T-shirt and a sweatshirt with a university seal featuring a cat and “Happy, free, confused and lonely at the same time” written around it.

For after the ceremony, there are party items like a pack of cups, plates and napkins; cupcake toppers and liners; and balloons.

There’s also, of course, a tote bag, because who doesn’t need a tote bag out in the real world that graduates now face?

And, though their time in school might be over, there’s a notebook for graduates to bring for their first day on the job.

What would really be cool is that if Taylor Swift, now graced with the honorary title of Dr. Swift, used her new title for upcoming merchandise—at least when she plays Madison Square Garden, where fans are in on the joke.
