Editor’s Picks: Car Talk

I understood the meaning of “love at first sight” at the age of 16. His name was Thomas, and he was a bright red 1998 Ford Ranger. Although I inherited him from my older brother, he was my first car, so I loved him just the same. Our love affair was brief. It lasted six, maybe seven, months. Unfortunately, a tornado blew through my hometown in Ohio and Thomas met his end at the hands (or branches, rather) of a large elm tree while parked in our driveway.

That truck was a great first car, but it was old and had some quirks. The passenger side window would get stuck, the gear shifter sometimes needed a little jiggle and there were no cup holders. Every time I drove it, I thought about all of the accessories I would buy to spruce it up and make driving more convenient. Somehow other tasks always took priority (and then the tornado took Thomas), and I never got around to it.

Car accessories are a great strategy for promotional campaigns. End-users enjoy them for their practicality, and your clients will love them because they can spend as much or as little as they want while still launching a successful promotion. Most importantly, the cars will appreciate the TLC.

Blinded by the Light
When confronted by the sun’s harsh glare while driving, nothing is more irritating (or more dangerous) than having to rummage through the glove box for sunglasses. That is where the Sunglasses Clip Wee from Ariel Premium Supply comes in handy. The sunglasses holder clips to the visor, ensuring sunglasses are always within reach. It is available in black, blue, green, metallic blue, metallic red, red or silver.

8th Wonder of the … Car?
Move over, couch cushions. The car is the new favorite hiding spot for valuable possessions. That pesky tiny slot between the seat and the center console is home to many a lost quarter and now serves as the cellphone’s new home. But thanks to the Wonder Mat from Crown Products, the days of digging in between the seats are over. Made of latex rubber, the mat can be placed anywhere on the dashboard or console for easy access.

Take Cover
Winter is coming (insert Game of Thrones joke here), along with freezing winds and icy windshields. Help your clients capitalize on the chilly days ahead by suggesting the Deluxe Suede Ice Scraper Mitt from Garyline. An extra wide suede mitt lined with pile lining surrounds the winter driving essential, preventing your hands from turning into twin popsicles. The mitt is available in tan or gray.
