Ennis, Midlothian, Texas, announced today that it is listed among Forbes magazine’s “200 Best Small Companies” for the 5th consecutive year. Ennis ranked 93rd on this year’s list, moving up 87 places from the previous year’s ranking of 180.
The list, found in the October 30 issue of Forbes, is comprised of publicly-traded companies with $5 million to $750 million in sales for the previous year. All companies appearing on the list must meet Forbes’ stringent criteria, which requires them to be profitable, earning a minimum of 5 percent net margin and have a five-year average return on equity of 5 percent or greater. Ennis remains the only wholesale printer to be recognized on the annual list.
