Fields Manufacturing, St. Cloud, Minn., has acquired the assets of American Greenwood Inc. and Sprout Tyme. Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.
American Greenwood Inc., a 115-year-old company, and Sprout Tyme are headquartered in Chicago. American Greenwood Inc. is a supplier of buttons, hand fans, drinkware, bags and more. Sprout Tyme is a supplier of seeded paper, and other eco-friendly and growing products.
“We’re very excited to bring American Greenwood Inc. and Sprout Tyme into the Fields family,” said Matt Bertram, president of Fields Manufacturing. “The acquisition continues our mission in constructing a diverse product offering and single-source solution to our distributor partners.”
American Greenwood Inc.’s and Sprout Tyme’s current owners, Ed Sokolofski and Joe Canepari, will join Fields Manufacturing as consultants.
“Fields is an optimal means to continue the growth and success of American Greenwood and Sprout Tyme,” said Sokolofski.
Canepari replied by stating, “Our distributor partners will prosper through this transaction.”
Yolanda Santiago will continue to manage American Greenwood Inc.’s customer service. Operations are moving to the Fields Manufacturing production facilities in St. Cloud and Owosso, Mich. Both American Greenwood Inc. and Sprout Tyme will continue to have their own catalogs.
