Florida Brewery Puts Shelter Dogs on Beer Cans for Adoption Event

A Bradenton, Fla., brewery produced a special run of beer can labels to help local shelter dogs find homes.

Motorworks Brewing partnered with Manatee County Animal Services for a run of its Cruiser lager, and each can will feature a photo of a dog in the shelter who is up for adoption.

“To commemorate the first can-run of our Cruiser golden lager, we put four adoptable dogs onto the cans to raise awareness for the shelter and money for the shelter as well,” Barry Elwonger, director of sales and marketing for Motorworks Brewing, told ABC. “The dogs featured on the can will be on-site ready for adoption alongside several more puppers-in-need.”

It’d be hard to finish one of those beers without seriously considering taking all four of them home.

The can release also coincided with the “yappy hour” event this past weekend, where proceeds from the beer would go toward helping the Manatee County Animal Services fund a new shelter for dogs in need.
