GAP Promo, a Gloucester, Massachusetts-based distributor, won the Herb Robinson Outstanding Employer award from the New England Association for Cooperative Education and Field Experience (NEACEFE).

Gayle Piraino, founder and president of GAP Promo, is a strong advocate for providing students with practical workplace experience through short- and longer-term, on-site internships. As an alumnus of Endicott College, Piraino understands the importance of hands-on learning and, to-date, has provided opportunities for more than 18 students to complete internships alongside the GAP Promo team.

The award is named after Herbert W. Robinson, who had been an active member of NEACEFE since its founding in 1976. The Herb Robinson Outstanding Employer nomination recognizes companies for their strong experiential education programs.

Gayle Piraino and Endicott College Intern Jessica McGuinn attended the luncheon in Portsmouth, N.H., on Nov. 17 to receive the award on behalf of GAP Promo.
