You don’t have to be an NBA fan to recognize Boban Marjanovich. He’s hard to miss. He’s 7’4″ for starters.
He’s so big that he even served as a pretty awesome villain in one of the “John Wick” movies — despite seeming like an all-around great guy in real life.
Boban’s size doesn’t just benefit him on the court. It also helps him out at snack time. To prove this, Goldfish created a ceramic replica of Boban’s hands to serve as a dish. The 10.75″ long bowl is the exact size and shape of the Houston Rockets star’s hand, and holds approximately 301 goldfish crackers, the same amount he demonstrated palming on TikTok.
At the base of the wrist is a special Goldfish x Boban logo.
“Are you ready for the G.H.O.A.T.? The Greatest Handful Of All Time,” Boban wrote on the Goldfish sweepstakes website. “Go on, take my hand. Hold more delicious Goldfish than any person, not named Boban, ever has before. And remember to never stop dreaming. I believe in you.”
What a guy.
This is hilarious, for one thing. You also don’t have to be an NBA fan to appreciate the humor here. It’s a giant hand bowl. That’s hilarious!
It’s also appropriately dropping on March 1 (3.01) at 3:01 PM ET.
Not every promotional event needs to have a seasonal tie-in. Sometimes it can just be fun. Wish you had his cracker-palming ability? Well, now you can!
For this, Goldfish took one of the most recognizable and well-liked stars in the NBA and made something eye-catching. You can bet that if any fan of the Rockets, Spurs, Pistons, Clippers, Mavericks, 76ers, or the “John Wick” franchise gets this, they’ll hold onto it for a while, just like Boban held onto those hundreds of Goldfish crackers.
