HALO Branded Solutions Completes New Distribution Center

HALO Branded Solutions, Sterling, Ill., hosted local and state dignitaries at a ribbon cutting ceremony for its new, state-of-the-art 275,000 sq. ft. distribution center. The distribution center is an addition to HALO’s 157,000 sq. ft. corporate headquarters, completed in April 2018 in Sterling.

“We had originally planned to expand five years after the move-in of our ‘new’ headquarters in 2018,” HALO CEO Marc Simon said. “We quickly learned client opportunities continued to grow, so we needed to add space to accommodate our large corporate client base.”

“The space was completed in just over six months, and includes 20,000 sq. ft. for complex client knitting projects,” added Bill Barrett, HALO’s senior vice president of distribution and materials handling. “It’s a perfect fit for our business, and we anticipate we will be over 50 percent capability by year-end.”

The build-out includes converting 20,000 sq. ft. of the company’s current warehouse space to office to accommodate more than 300 new employees, which the company intends to hire as the growth of the business dictates.

“We are well-positioned for smart, well-managed growth for the next several years,” Simon added.

After the ribbon-cutting ceremony, Simon led an on-site town hall update for HALO’s 600-plus corporate headquarters support team, followed by a webinar-style town-hall for HALO’s business units, remote staff and account executives.
