Admittedly, Drake’s “Nice For What” has become our most recent anthem, so when we read that Drake did another great thing and followed through on his high school school uniforms promise, we were pretty excited.
First, some backstory: The hip-hop superstar filmed his “God’s Plan” music video in Miami, where he ended up donating $1 million to the people of the city. Additionally, he made a promise to students at Miami High School that he would design custom high school uniforms that they’d be proud to wear. He also donated $25,000 to the school.
Well, it looks like Champagne Papi came through for the kids, and he let everyone catch a sneak peak on his Instagram story on Sunday night.

We think these high school uniforms are awesome, but more than that, they may serve as design inspiration for promotional uniform suppliers and distributors alike. Here are some apparel decoration tips we can learn from them:
1. Embroider the Placket
We might have thought any text on a placket would look too busy, but Drake’s design proves it can be done. Choose a word that’s not too clunky, and it adds a really nice embellishment on your promotional uniforms.
2. Try a Script
Another bold choice on Drake’s part was using a script font. However, it looks really clean on the white polo shirt, and it manages to turn one of Drake’s lyrics into a classy look.
3. Upgrade Your Logo
Champagne Papi took Miami High School’s block M logo and placed his tagline “October’s Very Own” on top of it. That gives the classic look an instant upgrade, and it provides another opportunity to add client text to a logo.
Drake manages to combine a classic design with complex embellishments, and he does this seamlessly. It looks like Drake might be giving Chance the Rapper a run for his money when it comes to being a promotional apparel superstar.
