Hit Promotional Products Now Offers Carbon Neutral Shipments

Hit Promotional Products, Largo, Fla., announced the offering of carbon neutral shipments via UPS.

In a continuing effort toward corporate sustainability, Hit is taking steps to reduce its environmental impact every day. It has taken a large stride toward this by collaborating with UPS, its primary logistics carrier, to offset carbon emissions on shipments leaving its facilities.

Hit has contractually elected to pay an additional fee per package shipped via UPS, and, in turn, UPS will purchase third-party certified carbon offsets to offset emissions produced by the transportation of your shipments, including envelopes, packages and freight.

UPS’s offset purchases neutralize the calculated carbon impact from shipping by reducing it elsewhere through the funding of environmentally responsible projects. These projects include methane and landfill gas destruction, and wastewater treatment.
