About 10,000 volunteers and staff at the 2015 Special Olympics World Games in Los Angeles have been sporting colorful uniforms from HTT Headwear, Murrieta, Calif. The games run through Wednesday.
The supplier produced more than 22,000 polo-style shirts in cranberry, dark blue, lime green, orange, red, purple, teal and white as well as 6,000 baseball caps. The material in both of those items contain 25 percent recycled material equivalent to 949.000 plastic water bottles, which were broken down into shredded flakes to create spun fibers.
HTT Headwear also has supplied all the volunteer hip bags in addition to a large number of retail pieces for AEG. HTT Headwear was chosen as the provider of these items due to the availability of recycled properties and unique designs in the items.
