Jeff Hall called the nearly 15 years he’s spent leading iClick the most exciting of his multi-decade career in C-suite roles.
Now, however, is the right time to bring the run with the Seattle-based supplier of mobile technology accessories to an end, Hall said. As such, he’s retiring as iClick’s CEO, making way for Chief Financial Officer Jeff Roberts to rise to the chief executive position.
“It has been a privilege to be a part of this industry with so many great individuals and especially to work with the great team of people at iClick,” said Hall. “I am excited for Jeff Roberts to have the opportunity to lead iClick. In our many years working together, he has proven himself to be exceptional. I have great confidence in his ability to continue to foster the care and support that iClick has for our distributors and our team.”
Roberts was director of finance for Giant Campus and worked in business operations for Microsoft before joining iClick in 2013. In roles including vice president of finance and CFO, his responsibilities at the supplier have included spearheading purchasing, reporting and business insights. His decade-plus in leadership at iClick has primed him for the top C-suite role at the firm, Hall said.
“I am deeply honored to build upon the incredible foundation laid by Jeff Hall,” said Roberts. “His leadership has propelled iClick to the forefront of innovation and set a high bar for service excellence. I’m excited to lead our talented team as we continue to push the boundaries of mobile technology and create products that empower our customers and redefine the industry.”
Additionally, iClick said it plans to bring to market a new suite of MagSafe-enabled products. The launch will include retail brands like Liddle Speaker, Casely Grippy, Casely Power Pod and new models of the PopSockets PopGrip, all for MagSafe-enabled devices. MagSafe-compatible accessories and MagSafe-enabled technology allow users to charge wirelessly, attach wallets and do more with their iPhones.
While looking ahead, iClick leaders took time to reflect on what they characterized as Hall’s successful tenure leading the firm.
With Hall at the helm, iClick grew large enough to place in the past on Counselor’s list of the Top 40 largest suppliers by revenue in the industry. The firm appeared 13 times on Counselor’s Best Places to Work rankings, including most recently this year, with employees saying the three words that best describe iClick are “flexible,” “valued” and “empowered.”
In 2014, Counselor named iClick the Supplier of the Year. The firm won Distributor Choice Awards and was ASI Media’s Fastest-Growing Supplier in 2019. Hall earned personal honors for the company’ high performance, being named twice to Counselor’s Power 50 list of promo’s most influential people. Before his time at iClick, Hall enjoyed success in the technology startup realm, holding chief financial officer, chief operating officer and president positions with various firms over nearly two decades.
“iClick,” the company said in a statement, “expresses its deepest gratitude to Jeff Hall for his extraordinary leadership.”
