Melissa Hoose, senior graphic artist at the Michigan facility of Apothecary Products Inc., passed away last Friday morning with her husband at her side after a courageous battle with cancer. She was 36.
Melissa grew up in Hemlock and attended Delta College studying Graphic Design. She had worked for the Karlen division of Apothecary Products for more than 15 years, starting as a screen printer and quickly moved into the art department which she managed since 2004. Known by friends for her energy and enthusiasm, Melissa was a social butterfly. She met her ideal match in husband Pepe, another who enjoyed life and lived it to its fullest; they married in May 2011.
She is survived by her husband and many family and friends. An intimate family memorial celebration for Melissa was held on July 8 in Merrill, Mich.
