It’s no secret that, around these parts, we love us some In-N-Out Burger. We’ve made it an annual part of our PPAI Expo experience in Las Vegas, and we cover In-N-Out branded merchandise whenever the chance arises. Unfortunately, we’re based in Philadelphia, 1,500 miles from the nearest In-N-Out location (as of 2018) in Denton, Texas. It is not easy for us to get our hands on a delicious Double-Double Animal Style, that one time in New York City notwithstanding.
So when we saw that In-N-Out released a new pair of shoes in its online store, we were pretty pumped. They’re white slip-ons in the style of classic Vans, and they’re decorated in the same red squiggly stripes and palm trees pattern as In-N-Out’s drink cups. The restaurant’s logo is on the back and the insole. They are, and I can’t stress this enough, extremely cool. If we can’t have actual In-N-Out, at the very least we can order us some shoes, right?

Wrong. In-N-Out announced the shoes in an Instagram post on January 30, hyping them as a nice Valentine’s Day gift. Within days, they were sold out. “Due to the popularity of this item, we are currently out of stock,” reads the item description on In-N-Out’s online store. “We anticipate this product to be restocked in May. Please check back for when this product is available.”
May! That might as well be the year 2049. Could we grab a pair of drink cup socks or this awesome long-sleeve tee to hold us over? Yes, we could. But what we’re doing instead is asking you, the reader with an extra pair of In-N-Out shoes (size 12) and a heart of gold, to send them to us at the Promo Marketing offices, for, uh, product research purposes.
We’re joking, of course. It would be a clear breach of journalism ethics to make a request like that. You didn’t think we were serious, did you? (Psst, remember, size 12.) But the shoes really are rad, and how quickly they sold out is further proof that branded footwear is fast becoming a major promo trend. Consumers can’t get enough.
The In-N-Out store has a whole bunch of other great stuff, too. There is a kids version of the shoes (also sold out), a gorgeously designed longboard deck, more items that make good use of the drink-cup pattern, and the usual assortment of apparel, backpacks, etc.
Honestly, whatever you want to send us is cool. (Joking.)
