Why Crocs have suddenly become the footwear du jour for everyone looking to do a brand collaboration is still sort of a mystery. But, somehow, they keep coming, and they keep finding success.
For the fried chicken enthusiast who also wants to wear minimal footwear, the KFC x Crocs collaboration has shoes that will have everyone asking where they came from and, more importantly, “What’s that smell?”
That’s right. They smell like chicken.

The two designs, one being a platform and the other being a classic clog, debuted during New York Fashion Week. Yes—a KFC-branded Croc clog that looks and smells like fried chicken debuted at New York Fashion Week.
From a design standpoint, it really captures the KFC branding with the striped bucket homage on the sole of the shoe and the fried chicken upper. Throw in some attachable drumstick charms that look and smell like real fried chicken, and it practically screams KFC.
KFC has been dabbling in scented promotional items for a little bit now. You might remember its chicken-scented fire logs from around the holidays.
“Combining the unmistakable look of our world-famous fried chicken and signature KFC bucket, with the unparalleled comfort and style of Crocs, these shoes are what fried chicken footwear dreams are made of,” KFC chief marketing officer Andrea Zahumensky said in a press release, creating what is surely a combination of words that has never been used in the history of the universe.
It actually goes further than that, if you can believe it:
Featuring a realistic Kentucky Fried Chicken pattern and a nod to the iconic red-striped bucket, they’re sure to fulfill all your finger-lickin’ fashion dreams. And don’t forget the sides—this clog also comes with two removable, chicken-scented Jibbitz charms that look like a fried chicken drumstick. This tasty collaboration of American icons is truly an Original Recipe for success.
On the Crocs side of things, showing you’re a good sport and just about up for anything opens you up to opportunities to work with all kinds of potential clients.
“As Crocs continues to create new, unexpected brand collaborations, we’re thrilled with this ‘bucket list’ partnership with Kentucky Fried Chicken that will bring fans an unbelievably fun and fashionable take on our classic clog,” said Terence Reilly, Crocs senior vice president and chief marketing officer. “We’re honored to feature this fashion-forward style between two iconic American brands at one of New York’s biggest weeks in fashion that promises to surprise and delight consumers around the globe.”
It looks like you can’t buy the high-top version, but the classic clog version will be available for purchase this spring for $59.99.
So, for all of you at home thinking, “I love my Crocs, but I wish they smelled more like fried chicken,” your chicken footwear dreams have come true.
