We’ve been harping on the fact that e-sports are becoming more and more legitimate all over the world, and therefore more and more worthy of your attention as a promotional products distributor. A good indicator of that legitimacy is the presence of brands with strong reputations. In that regard, there aren’t many bigger than Louis Vuitton. People even spend top dollar on fakes for brands like that.
The luxury brand, whose logo is practically synonymous with opulence, has officially partnered with the League of Legends Worlds Championship in Paris this weekend. The brand not only created in-game items for characters, but designed a custom case for the tournament’s trophy. You might remember that they did something like that for the FIFA World Cup last year, i.e. the biggest tournament on Earth.
For the players in the tournament, Louis Vuitton sent a backpack valued at around $2,000 before taxes, according to Inven Global.
Thank you to our partner @LouisVuitton for treating our #Worlds2019 finalists @FPX_Esports & @G2esports like the VIPs that they are! 🙌 #LVxLOL https://t.co/NvuatYNehC

If you’re not sold on the idea that e-sports are an established cash cow and are apparently here to stay, this brand partnership should change your mind. If it deems its products worthy of the FIFA World Cup and also this League of Legends tournament, there must be something to it.
After all, a company like Louis Vuitton with such a reputation wouldn’t attach its logo to something small-time.
