Did you see the $10K Big Mac ring McDonald’s is giving away? Either the fast food chain has severely upped its Happy Meal prize game, or something is afoot.
Unfortunately, your kids won’t be getting incredibly valuable jewelry with their chicken nuggets anytime soon, but McDonald’s is celebrating the launch of two new Big Mac sandwiches by giving away an 18-karat ring with seven tiers of diamonds, orange sapphires (which double as special sauce) and other gems.

The “Bling Mac,” and its accompanying ad, seems like the kind of post-modern wacky advertising that brands are getting into these days (think of everything Old Spice has done in the last 10 years), but, as the disembodied voice in the ad assures us, it is totally real.
To win, social media users just need to tweet at McDonald’s with the hashtag #BlingMacContest and “pledge their love” to the Big Mac. One lucky winner will get the jewelry and the satisfaction that their love of Big Macs beat out everyone else’s best efforts.

“The Bling Mac will be awarded to the most witty, comedic and romantic tweet,” a McDonald’s spokesperson told Nation’s Restaurant News.
