For the second consecutive year, a member of the Priestley household won the grand prize in a Prime Line sponsored promotion at Expo East.
On Tuesday, Doug Priestley won a 50″ flat screen HDTV in Prime Line’s Guess To Win game. Priestley’s guess of 2,491 was the third closest to the actual number of stress balls in Prime’s giant cube, however, the two other distributors who guessed closer were not present for the drawing at Prime’s booth. A video of the grand prize drawing is posted on Prime Line’s Facebook page.
At last year’s show, formerly known as Promotions East, Doug’s wife, Mary Priestley, won a lease to a new car in the Grand Prize Giveaway promotion sponsored by Prime Line and Promo Marketing Magazine. They are owners of New Jersey-based distributor Little Tee’s Graphics.
“We entered five minutes before the deadline and used some basic math to figure out how many balls were in the cube. I guess it worked pretty well,” said Doug Priestley of his guess that was only 11 away from the correct amount of 2,480. Priestley declined offers from others present to gamble at a nearby casino.
“We’re amazed that a husband and wife team won our grand prize two years in a row,” said Jeff Lederer, president of Prime Line and the emcee of the prize drawing ceremony. “We congratulate Doug and wish him good luck in next year’s drawing, not that he needs it.”
David Witbeck of Broadway Marketing received the second place prize, an iPad Mini; Donna Calderaro Gough of JG Promotions won the third place prize, a pair of Bose QuietComfort Noise Cancelling Headphones; Ezell Willard of All Kinds of Stuff finished fourth and won a Kindle Fire HD; and Havey Sheff of Walker Advertising won the fifth place prize, a Samsung Blu-Ray Player.
