Millcraft Paper, a 106-year-old print products supplier based in Cleveland, OH, has acquired another nearly-century-old print firm, Steen Macek Paper Co.

The 92-year-old Steen Macek is based near Green Bay, WI, and supplies products like carbonless paper, coated and uncoated paper, envelopes, pressure sensitive-products and more to print industry companies like Millcraft.

According to the Green Bay Press Gazette, Steen Macek has primarily sold to companies in Wisconsin and the Upper Peninsula of Michigan, and the acquisition will now expand Millcraft’s operations into the Wisconsin market, adding to its presence in Ohio, Michigan, Kentucky, Missouri, Illinois, Indiana and Tennessee.

“Steen Macek Paper has earned the trust of its customers by putting people first and consistently delivering exceptional service,” Millcraft CEO Travis Mlakar said in a press release to the Green Bay Press Gazette. “That philosophy aligns perfectly with how Millcraft has operated for more than a century.”

Millcraft’s products and services include wide-format print, beverage labeling and packaging, apparel decoration equipment and technology for direct-to-garment and direct-top-film printing, heat press equipment, pretreatment equipment, rip software, paper packaging products and services, and more.

Both companies are family-owned. Financial details of the acquisition were not disclosed, and the pending deal is expected to go through on Feb. 28.

The 20 employees currently at Steen Macek will continue to work in its Ashwaubenon, WI, facility, and no layoffs are expected.
