In an effort to make its Web site more user-friendly, Mille Lacs Gourmet Foods, Madison, Wis., has redesigned its Web site at www.corporategifts.mille-lacs.com.
According to John Manzer, vice president, the former site lacked many important features. “We have included all the typical features that make a Web site more useable, such as options to shop by category, product type, price or keywords,” he said. “We are excited to get the site up and running because it is completely under our control, where we can continuously update it with current information.”
A little less than a month old, the new site offers all of the company’s products from its current catalog, along with fliers for golf, holiday or other promotions. Manzer said although it is currently accessible to both distributors and their customers, the site will soon include a password-protected area exclusively for distributors.
“We’re continuing to expand so we can offer distributors specific information, such as tips on how to sell food, that will only be accessible to them,” he said.
