Salespeople and multi-line reps from Newton Manufacturing Co., Newton, Iowa, traveled to Charleston, S.C. for the distributor’s National Sales Meeting and Trade Show, dubbed “Wild About Charleston,” at the Wild Dunes Resort Sept. 14 to 18.
“Wild About Charleston was a huge success,” said Molly Beavers, Newton’s senior marketing manager. “Our sales representatives left excited and energized for the year ahead.” The event included a reception dinner, presentations and peer-to-peer discussions with 100 sales reps, guests and employees. More than 45 suppliers also were on hand to show their latest and most popular products.
“Charleston is certainly a wonderful city but our supplier partners are truly what made the event such a success,” Beavers said. “Their contributions and the information provided certainly equipped our sales representatives with what they need to wrap up the sales year strong.” Salespeople also had the opportunity to tour downtown Charleston and enjoy group carriage rides to dine at some of Charleston’s finest restaurants.
“We value the relationships we have with our sales representatives and suppliers. We see them as extended family, and events like this just strengthen the connection,” Beavers said. “It’s our intent that they know just how valuable they are to us.”
