‘Unexpected Incredibly High Demand’: Oscar Mayer’s Bologna Skincare Face Masks Sold Out Immediately

“No, this sheet mask is not real bologna. Put it on your face, not your sandwich.”

That’s how Oscar Mayer warned customers about its new face mask, which is designed to look like you just slapped a couple pieces of bologna on your face (without having to actually slap a couple pieces of bologna on your face).

Behold:

Kraft Heinz worked with Korean beauty and skincare company Seoul Mamas to create these hydrating and restorative hydrogel face sheets modeled after America’s most famous cold cuts. Even the packaging was designed to look like actual Oscar Mayer bologna packaging.

The masks were made available on Amazon, but sold out quickly.

“Due to unexpected incredibly high demand, we are working to get the sheet masks back in stock over the coming days,” Kraft Heinz said in a statement to USA Today.

Each pack sold for just $5.

“Oscar Mayer has a legacy bringing levity to things that have gotten too serious,” Lindsay Ressler, senior marketing analyst for Oscar Mayer, told USA Today. “And beauty is a ripe territory to playfully subvert.”

It makes sense, coming from the company known for delivering hot dogs in the Weinermobile.

We just can’t help but get some Dwight Schrute vibes from this, though.
