Polo Ralph Lauren Nailed Its 2018 Team USA Olympics Uniforms

Nothing makes us happier than actually appreciating the latest reveal of the Team USA Olympics uniforms. The 2018 games will kick off Feb. 9 in Pyeongchang, South Korea, but Polo Ralph Lauren gave Today a sneak peak at the official uniforms that Team USA will sport at the closing ceremony.

The closing ceremony uniforms have an all-American, preppy look that is both classic, yet bold. The teams will wear white water-repellent down jackets featuring the Polo Ralph Lauren horse symbol, the U.S. Olympic Team logo and an American flag.

Completing the look is a vintage-looking sweater in on-trend red, white and blue color-blocking. The pants are double-fleece with a thick red stripe down the legs. For the accessories, the team will be wearing woolen mittens and hats. (We must say, we want the hats.) For the shoes, Team USA will be closing the Olympics in suede mountaineering boots with red laces.

In our opinion, Polo Ralph Lauren finally nailed the Olympic look for Team USA, but it’s been a few years of horrible uniforms prior to this.

Here’s the Rio 2016 look, which was met with pure internet hatred:

We’re relieved Polo Ralph Lauren finally came through, since it was beginning to make us look bad. We can definitely get behind these traditional looks featuring all the right extra details.

What do you think of these new uniforms?
