Prime Line Expands its Eco-Responsible Line and Practices

Bridgeport, Connecticut-based Prime Line announced, in keeping with its Eco-Responsible initiative, the company’s 2009 annual catalog has been printed on paper awarded the European Eco-Label, the EU Flower—denoting the paper was produced according to the highest environmental standards, and all ink used in printing is soy-based. The strict criterion of the European Eco-Label controls the entire production process including the use of natural resources, chemicals, energy and emissions.

The company also announced it has added many new Eco-Responsible products to its line for 2009. “Because of the positive and successful response to our Eco-Responsible initiative, we plan to continue enhancing our educational Eco-Responsible program intended to inform our distributors about the environmentally friendly qualities in our items,” said Jeff Lederer, executive vice president of Prime Line. “We also plan to continue providing our distributors with additional resources and information that will help them to improve their own environmentally friendly practices and make informed choices.”

Part of Prime Line’s Eco-Responsible program includes an “Eco-Promise” section, including the promise by Prime Line to continually improve and communicate its eco-responsible practices throughout the year. In addition, Prime Line has created its new Eco-Responsible Numbering System Logos to help quickly inform customers what qualities ite feels make a product eco-friendly.
