Proforma has officially cancelled its Million Dollar Club event due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The company communicated to all affiliate owners, support team members and supplier partners on March 13 that it is taking the necessary steps to prevent the spread of coronavirus across the U.S. The event was scheduled for April 2-5 at the Vinoy Resort in St. Petersburg, Fla.
“We are disappointed and deeply saddened by the cancellation of our Million Dollar Club event in St. Petersburg, Fla.,” said Proforma CEO Vera Muzzillo. “Due to the increasing health concerns and spread of COVID-19 to the general public, Proforma has taken the necessary precautions to keep our affiliate owners, support center team members and supplier partners safe from the growing pandemic.”
This will be the first time that Proforma has cancelled a Million Dollar Club event in the 25-plus year history of the event. Proforma anticipated more than 350 total attendees, including a record number of 27 new Million Dollar and Multi-Million Dollar Club members.
“Words cannot express how sad this cancellation makes us feel,” said Greg Muzzillo, founder of Proforma. “One of Vera and my favorite joys is jacketing our new club members and new level members. More importantly, we enjoy giving the recognition the new club members and new level members so richly deserve.”
In addition to the cancellation, a work from home policy was issued to all of Proforma’s Worldwide Support Center team members in the Florida and Ohio areas. The policy was issued last Friday requiring all employees to work from home until further notice.
“We as an organization are paying close attention to the recommendations from the CDC, public health officials, health and medical professionals, and the suggested guidelines for business organizations,” said Proforma president Douglas Kordel. “Proforma has taken the recommendations very seriously to help safeguard our affiliate owners, support team members and supplier partners.”
