Proforma, Cleveland, hosted a meeting last week for PromoStandards.
“The Standards Committee is an important part of the continual advancement of technology within our industry,” said Brian Carothers, Proforma’s chief technology officer. “By collaborating with other distributors, suppliers and service providers, it defines what standards need to be updated or created to improve and simplify the interactions between distributors’ and suppliers’ systems.”
The meeting hosted a number of Standards Committee members, including Hit Promotional Products chief information officer Eric Shonebarger, Gemline chief technology officer David Gallant, Starline vice president of operations Jon Norris, Hit Promotional Products director of integrations and ERP Raj Mukherjee, Carothers, Pablo Hanke from DistributorConnect, Dustin Kessler from Staples, commonsku lead developer Robert Cathro-Oliver, and Steve Lussier from Essent.
This meeting in particular was focused on updating ProVision’s Order Status service, which reduces the cost of fulfilling orders for Proforma owners working within the platform.
“Brian represents Proforma’s considerable purchasing power in the marketplace within the Standards Committee.” said Proforma CEO Vera Muzzillo. “He brings valuable insights to developing new standards for technology in our industry. This level of collaboration with technology leaders from the Standards Committee is an unprecedented way to achieve even more from our fully-integrated business management technology platform, ProVision.
