In case you haven’t heard about it, there’s a viral movement that has helped to raise $79.7 million for the ALS Association (Compare that amount to $2.5 million that the organization raised in the same 28-day span last year). Basically, the recipient of the challenge can either pour ice water over his or her head or donate to the ALS Association (doing both is also an option).
Well, Samantha Gotlib, vice president of sales at Charles River Apparel, Sharon, Mass., challenged Nikki Stella, Promo Marketing’s group president/publishing director. She has accepted the challenge along with the Promo Marketing and Print+Promo teams.
“All right, Sam Gotlib from Charles River Apparel, you nominated me for the ALS Ice Bucket Challenge, and I know I’m late, so what I decided to do was—rather than not to do it at all—do it big,” Stella said.
Promo Marketing also has made a team donation and will be participating in the Walk to Defeat ALS at Citizens Bank Park in Philadelphia in November.
