Quality Certification Alliance Accredits The Magnet Group

The Quality Certification Alliance (QCA), Chicago, the promotional product industry’s only independent, nonprofit organization dedicated to helping companies provide safe products, has granted QCA accreditation to Washington, Missouri-based The Magnet Group.

To achieve QCA accreditation, The Magnet Group completed a rigorous self-assessment and submitted its headquarters and supply base to multiple third-party audits. The QCA board then used a scorecard representing the performance of the company and its supply chain on the third-party audits as the foundation for granting accreditation.

The Magnet Group, which has been a Top 40 supplier for the past three decades, brings the number of QCA-accredited suppliers to 34.

“It was extremely important for our customers, our company and our collective peace of mind to achieve the QCA accreditation. The path was long and at times challenging, but the process and end result for our customers was worth every minute. We are thrilled!” said Bill Korowitz, CEO and owner of The Magnet Group.

Zane Morton, vice president of quality and compliance and executive team member for the company, was responsible for all facets of the installation and management of the process.

“Coming from the aerospace business and manufacturing parts for F-18’s, my passion for quality and process runs deep,” Morton said. “It was an honor and a pleasure working with a great team at QCA and at The Magnet Group to make this happen.”

“We want to congratulate The Magnet Group on achieving QCA certification,” added Jeffrey P. Jacobs, executive director of QCA. “We were confident they took the necessary, proactive steps to provide safe and compliant product, and knew they’d see additional benefit in the process by smoothing out business processes, eliminating inefficiencies and opening up new lines of internal communications. We know that The Magnet Group takes customer relationships very seriously, and the accreditation is independent third-party proof they are interested in doing the right thing for them.”
