The 2015 Specialty Graphic Imaging Association (SGIA) recognized River’s End Trading, Madison, Wis., in the association’s Golden Image Competition at the 2015 SGIA Expo in Atlanta. River’s End Trading earned two gold awards, one for “Hipster Man,” entered in the heat transfers category–digital entries; and another for “Dog & Butterfly Grooming Studio” in the embroidery category.
“I am very proud of the River’s End decoration team,” said John Maher, CEO of River’s End. “Our work was compared to the best in the world, and we came out on top. That’s quite an accomplishment.”
Eighty-seven companies from around the world submitted nearly 400 entries in 53 product categories.
“Winning the gold award for embroidery and heat transfers puts River’s End among the top specialty printers in the world in terms of quality and capability,” said Johnny Shell, vice president of technical services for SGIA. “The ability to consistently decorate such high-quality products indicates that River’s End is an expert at controlling the many variables involved in specialty printing.”
