Selco and Arista Team Up to Produce Collegiate Licensed Watches

Selco LLC, a Tulsa, Oklahoma-based promotional supplier company, has been contracted by Arista to produce official collegiate licensed products. To date, designs have been approved and are under production for the University of Oklahoma, Oklahoma State, Arkansas and a dozen other Big XII and SEC schools.

“We are ecstatic to have this opportunity to show off our capabilities to the retail collegiate market,” said Mark Abels, president of Selco LLC. “As a promotional products company we have supplied tens of thousands of watches to college employees and students but this is our first opportunity to be featured in retail. Our watch dial manufacturing capabilities lend themselves to this market because of the vibrant colors and classic mascots that will be featured on the dial. It has allowed us to push our capabilities to new heights.”

“Selco’s dials, particularly the die-struck medallion dials made in Selco’s plant in Tulsa, Okla., really set Arista’s designs apart in the collegiate watch market,” said Bruce Kerr of Arista. He said that Arista is “eager to work with another Oklahoma-based company, anticipating easier communication and quicker delivery than what a foreign or even coastal American company could provide, but our expectations have been exceeded, especially regarding price and quality. Selco’s dial-manufacturing capabilities, like their trademarked process to create a ‘4th Dimension’ dial, that’s a dial with a raised image on a step-and-repeat pattern background, have opened up new possibilities for Arista watch designs.”
