The U.K. is celebrating 70 years of Queen Elizabeth II’s reign this year, otherwise known as the Platinum Jubilee. Or, if you bought some commemorative plates or drinkware, the “Platinum Jubbly.”
well this has made me extremely happy https://t.co/GcYdpax4bu

Instead of throwing all of the misprinted merchandise away, Karl Baxter, who runs a clearance website, is selling the more than 10,000 misprinted pieces as limited-edition souvenirs.
“What could be more unique than our limited-edition misprinted crockery?” he said to the BBC. “This could be your chance to get your hands on a novelty souvenir for a fraction of the price.”
Baxter is selling the “Platinum Jubbly” commemorative pieces for a 90% discounted rate.
This could have been a disaster. Instead, someone saw an opportunity to make an already rare occasion even more rare through merchandise. Not everyone will want misprinted merchandise, but those with a sense of humor will appreciate “jubbly” merchandise maybe even more than the correct “jubilee” stuff.
