When restaurants and bars are shut down to the public (at least the indoors parts), these businesses need to go the extra mile to reach their customers at home. The answer to that problem has been things like delivery boxes and do-it-yourself kits.
Shake Shack is the latest brand to go this route, giving fans an opportunity to still enjoy the great outdoors (while maintaining social distancing) and boost its own brand simultaneously with its Shack Camp Box.
The “curated box of supplies” comes with gear for classic summertime activities like a lemonade stand, throwing “the ultimate Field Day,” making sundaes and more. While it only costs $79, Shake Shack has it valued at more like $175.
Camp isn't cancelled. Introducing #ShackCamp (an at-home camp experience planned out + packed up in our Shack Camp Box)!
Each box has materials for 6 weeks of activities that we’ll demonstrate every Monday on IGTV starting 7/13.

This is probably especially appealing to parents looking to entertain kids who have been cooped up inside for months and are just looking for something resembling a normal summer vacation. Each box comes with different planned “scenarios” and activities like they would find at summer camp, like encouraging them to make friendship bracelets, writing campfire stories and more.
But with kitchenware items like the spatula and apron, reusable straws, and coasters, there’s still plenty to appeal to adults. Also, we’re pretty sure there’s no age limit on throwing water balloons.
The kicker here is that it’s tied in with a campaign to help kids whose summer plans were canceled through the Fresh Air Fund.
“We’re proud to partner with our longtime friends at The Fresh Air Fund,” Shake Shack’s site says. “To keep the magic of summer alive for thousands of underserved New York City kids whose summer programs were cancelled due to COVID-19, Shake Shack and our partners—shout out to Uber Eats, Goldbelly and OREO Cookies—are collectively pledging $75,000 to support The Fresh Air Fund’s 2020 Summer Programming.”
