Special K Is Helping You Remember What Day It Is With Branded Socks

Some of the best advice we can offer is that you should always wear clean socks. It seems so obvious, but it’s something people overlook, especially in these days of working from home every day. (Look, we’re not here to judge anybody.)

Kellogg’s is making sure that you keep those feet fresh every day of the week with a special line of branded socks that corresponds with Special K flavors and a weekly planner. All of these items come in the “Blursday Go-Away Kit,” which “aims to help people avoid the feeling that each day is blurring into the next as they spend more time at home during the pandemic.”

Special K and Kellogg’s will give away 700 kits to randomly selected people who enter online.

So, by changing your socks every day, you not only practice good hygiene, but also remind yourself that it is, in fact, Wednesday.

Each pair of branded socks comes with a day of the week on it, and the color scheme is modeled after each of the daily flavors from Special K. There’s no fooling anyone with these socks. You’re clearly wearing Sunday, and, as our planner says, today is Tuesday. Change your socks!

“The Special K team is no stranger to Blursday, because we’re living it in our homes, too,” Cindy Huntington, brand director at Kellogg Company, said in a press release. “So, we wanted to create something truly useful—and, of course, delicious. While the concept of specific days of the week may seem totally made up right now, we want to help our real fans taste their way back to reality. Because just like how you can’t fake delicious, Special K believes you shouldn’t have to fake knowing what day it is.”

There’s one problem this does not solve, however, and that’s the issue of washers and dryers mysteriously devouring single socks. What happens when we can’t find Tuesday’s matching partner? Do we just wear one Tuesday and one Thursday? Then it’s just anarchy and time ceases to be a linear construct, and we’re floating in the tesseract behind the bookshelf at the end of “Interstellar” and now we have a headache.
