Eagan, MN-based apparel supplier Storm Creek (asi/89879), a 2024 Counselor Best Place to Work, has added bluesign-approved fabrics to its lineup of sustainable clothing.
Storm Creek’s recently released 2025 catalog features 212 new styles and colors, with all garments made using sustainable practices, according to the supplier. All of its new fabrics are made without PFAS – so-called “forever chemicals” often used in water-repellant fabrics that have been linked to pollution and health hazards. Several styles are made with bluesign-approved fabrics. Bluesign is a certification company that ensures that fabrics are produced with lower-impact practices and sustainable chemicals. Storm Creek noted that, by the end of 2025, it has a goal that all the fabrics it uses will be bluesign-approved.
Storm Creek notes that its entire product line is sustainably produced; another of its company goals is to upcycle 65 million plastic bottles into recycled polyester (rPET) apparel by the end of next year. As of its most recent impact report, the supplier has upcycled more than 32 million plastic bottles.
“We are thrilled to introduce our 2025 collection, with a focus on our commitment to sustainability, to the promotional products industry,” said Doug Jackson, Storm Creek founder and president. “We believe that our new designs and eco-made fabrics will inspire distributors to sell sustainably and educate their customers on the impact they can have. Storm Creek is proud to set the standard for the industry and never settle for the easy route, whether it be for the way we make our products or the way we give back to our communities.”
Among the new styles, arriving in fall 2024, are the Pacific puffer vest (3015 women’s, 3010 men’s), made with a recycled down-like insulation and anywhere from 16 to 20 recycled bottles per garment. The vest features zipper pockets and can be packed into its pocket for easy travel. Another new style is the Challenger jacket (4075 women’s, 4070 men’s), made from 54% rPET, 30% polyester and 16% double-weave bluesign-approved spandex. Each jacket contains anywhere from 16 to 21 recycled bottles.
Storm Creek is planning a catalog launch webinar on Aug. 20, where promotional products distributors can get a preview of new styles and colors and learn more about the supplier’s sustainability initiatives. Register for the webinar here.
