Sweda Donates Over $15,000 in Goods to Typhoon Disaster Relief Efforts

Sweda Company LLC, City of Industry, Calif., participated in the Philippine Typhoon Relief Donation Drive put on by Filipino American Television (FilAM TV) along with the Office of Vice-Mayor Jacque Robinson, City of Pasadena, Victory Cargo, the American Red Cross and PNB Remittance Centers Inc.

“We felt it was important to contribute to this cause not only because of the tragic circumstances in the Philippines, but also because several of our employees have family [who] were directly impacted by Typhoon Haiyan,” said Jim Hagan, president and CEO.

Paul Gamboa, strategic account representative for Sweda, spearheaded the efforts at Sweda and successfully collected more than 10 boxes of food, clothing and other necessities from employees. Additionally, Sweda donated 700 “Snuggle Me” micro coral fleece blankets to the relief efforts.
