Even though it’s been three years since Fyre Festival spectacularly imploded, the story still lives on to this day. Last year, we reported that the U.S. Marshal Service office in Manhattan would be auctioning off official Fyre Festival merch, which would pay back some of the employees and customers Billy McFarland (the “entrepreneur” that organized the failed festival) scammed out of money. Now, you can officially shop the 126 items—and they’re already getting big bids.

“This Fyre Festival-branded clothing and other items that were seized from Billy McFarland were originally intended to be sold at the Fyre Festival itself but were kept by McFarland, with the intent to sell the items and use the funds to commit further criminal acts while he was on pre-trial release,” U.S. Marshal Ralph Sozio said in a press release.
Sozio also noted that proceeds from the sale will go to victims of McFarland’s crimes.
The 126 pieces of merchandise include branded hats, “Fyre” tokens, wristbands, sweatshirts, joggers, T-shirts and more. CNN noted on Aug. 2 that that auction prices—specifically for the hats—started at $15 and were already up to $300, but as we’re seeing now, listing prices have spiked, with wristbands at $22 on the low end and a Fyre hat or crew neck sweatshirt for $405 on the high end. The online auction ends on Aug. 13, and just based on the past few days, it looks like prices will go even higher. It seems people will pay a lot to own a piece of infamy history while supporting a good cause.
