Autumn visitors to Dodger Stadium have witnessed disappointment the last two years, with the Los Angeles Dodgers twice, on their home turf, falling short of a World Series victory. Leave it to music to soothe the savage beast that is athletic disappointment, as the 56,000-capacity venue will host this weekend’s Camp Flog Gnaw Carnival, a music festival that will feature some pretty sharp New Era-issued headwear, including an irresistible park ranger fedora.
Given our recent run of rainy weather in Philadelphia, we Promo Marketing folks could certainly use a sun-kissed couple of California days, so if we are fortunate enough to escape, we would be taking in the seventh-annual brainchild of rapper Tyler, the Creator. The performer, whose first four studio albums have all enjoyed top-10 status on the Billboard 200, has lined up a few notable music peers, including Lauryn Hill, A$AP Rocky and the eternal newsmaker, Kanye West, for the celebration. While there will certainly be sights to see on stage, attendees will draw their own share of attention thanks to the headwear items, with Highsnobiety exploring the hats available to concertgoers.
The Camp Flog Gnaw Instagram has a preview of the three hat styles. The fedora is the third image in the slideshow:

Owing to the name of the event, we absolutely love the Ranger Brown Fedora and will forever envy the end-users who purchased it, as New Era’s website notes that the $80 item is sold out. The five other limited edition items include two bucket hats and three trucker hats, and while they are stylish and appropriate choices, we really wish we had learned about this carnival much earlier if only for the chance to buy the fedora.
New Era has given us material to cover before, but we venture to say that nothing will be topping the genius behind the coveted good. It represents a perfect marriage of theme and product, and has left us wondering just how many attendees will be rocking them come Saturday and Sunday. We fully envision taking to Twitter to see who pulled off the look the best and will be eager to see how many of the headliners join in the act, too. On another note, New Era, please make more fedoras!
