Editor’s Picks: Shear Perfection

I have a bad habit of turning on the fan in my bedroom when sleep calls (and, yes, the A/C is cranked). There’s something appealing about making the room so cold that I’m able to hide under a pile of heavy blankets.

Unfortunately, my comforter lacks the warmth and appeal of a cozy fleece jacket, which reminds me—I don’t own any fleece apparel. I’m not an outdoors-type-of-girl, but I do have some activities planned for fall: pumpkin patch, haunted houses, football games, etc. I need to stay warm and my comforter isn’t going to get the job done. It looks like my “To-Do” list just got longer.

I’m still willing to accept recommendations for a new comforter, as well.

Setting Boundaries
The Boundary Fleece Jacket from Charles River Apparel is made from a fine yarn, giving it a softer overall hand and lower pile. The fleece is available in black, storm blue or navy, and in men’s or women’s (pictured) styles.

Ultra Cozy
The 13.75 oz. UltraClub Polyester Adult Iceberg Fleece Full-Zip Jacket from Bodek and Rhodes is available in six different colors and sizes up to 6XL. The jacket is 100 percent polyester and includes zipper closures over the front pockets. A matching ladies’ style is available (pictured right).

Great Scott
Tri-Mountain’s Prescott fleece jacket features contrast piping, raglan sleeves and zippered pockets. Sizes offered range from S to 4XL, and color options are black, navy white and charcoal. A companion female style, the Pacifica, is also available.
