University of Oregon Enlists Other Schools to Donate to Houston

The University of Oregon has found itself at the center of a few feel-good stories lately. Most recently, we reported that the school allowed juvenile cancer patients to design an Oregon Ducks football uniform.

Now, the university’s equipment office tweeted out yesterday that it is partnering with the University of Houston’s equipment department to donate footwear and apparel to people in need following the destruction of Hurricane Harvey, according to Oregon Diehards.

Equipment staff and student-athletes could donate what they wanted, and the items would go to UH next week.

Thanks to the power of the internet allowing people all over the world to see information like this at a moment’s notice, other universities’ equipment offices joined the fight.

The equipment offices of Villanova University, UCLA, University of Colorado at Boulder, University of South Florida and the University of Nevada-Reno (among others) replied to Oregon’s call to action.

Good idea, Ducks.
