The Vernon Company, Newton, Iowa, recently announced that it has hired two new managers for its Vernon Graphics division, a large-format screen printer specializing in fleet and vehicle graphics.
Chris Orr, who began at Vernon on July 6, is plant manager. Chuck Flaherty, who started on July 13, is sales and administrative manager.
Orr has more than 19 years of manufacturing and leadership experience, and was most recently in a supervisory role at Trinity Structural Towers in Newton. As plant manager, Orr will be responsible for directing and managing Vernon Graphics’ facility operations, including staff oversight, job production, maintenance, quality and shipping/receiving.
Flaherty has 16 years of experience in the graphics industry. He was most recently with Newton Manufacturing, where he was the graphics manager for the last eight years, working primarily with promotional products. In his role at Vernon Graphics, Flaherty will be responsible for the company’s sales activities, and will supervise the company’s internal sales support staff.
