Visstun, Las Vegas, and Paper Machinery Corporation (PMC) have been selected as winners of the 2010 AmeriStar Packaging Competition in the promotional category.
Each year, the Institute of Packaging Professionals holds the AmeriStar Packaging Competition to showcase the most groundbreaking, innovative packages of the year. Visstun is among the 36 winners selected by a panel of 17 packaging experts. Judging was based on six criteria: innovation, protection, economics, performance, marketing and environmental impact.
“The AmeriStar Competition is unique in that it receives entries from all industries and in all package material forms across the global packaging community,” said Carole Schiller, Institute of Packaging Professionals awards and events manager. “The winners represent a team effort in the collaboration and creativity that brought each of these winning packages to fruition.”
Ed Hamilton, Visstun president, commented, “Receiving the AmeriStar Packaging Award is quite an honor because it puts us in the company of many of the most respected global brands. Being able to produce an award-winning product is something we are very proud of.”
