Wise Business Forms Acquires Apex Color’s Business Forms Assets

Key Takeaways

Wise Business Forms has acquired Apex Color’s business forms assets, expanding its customer base and enhancing its service offerings with additional capabilities, including access to labels for short- and medium-run applications.

This acquisition continues Wise’s strategic growth through mergers, reinforcing its commitment to the print industry and distributor reseller marketplace, following several similar acquisitions throughout 2024.

Wise Business Forms is adding to its portfolio.

The Alpharetta, GA, company announced this morning that it has acquired the business forms assets of Apex Color, effective Oct. 13, 2025. Apex Color’s printing assets were acquired by fellow Georgia firm Lewis Color.

“We are incredibly pleased to add Apex Color’s business forms customers to the Wise family,” said Bill Prettyman, president and CEO of Wise. “We look forward to serving and taking care of Apex Color’s customers. Wise will enhance the product and service offering to Apex Color customers with additional capabilities.”

Additionally, Apex Color customers will now have access to other Wise services, like prime and industrial labels in short- and medium-run applications.

Bob Saunders, vice president of sales for Wise, told ASI Media that the power of labels and business forms are proof of print’s continued prevalence even in the modern age.

“Despite the digital push, millions of business forms are still printed annually because they solve real problems for resellers’ customers,” Saunders said. “By acquiring Apex Color’s business forms assets, Wise is demonstrating its commitment to support our resellers and the customers they serve.”

Acquisitions have played a major part in Wise’s success in the print industry over recent years. In October 2024, it acquired Victor Printing’s continuous and unit-set business form assets. In May 2024, Wise acquired Phoenix Data Inc. Before that, the company acquired checks and business forms print supplier Mini Data Forms in March of 2024.

At the time of Wise’s acquisition of Phoenix Data Inc., Prettyman underscored how these acquisitions solidified Wise’s place in the print industry, as well as the print world’s longevity overall.

“Wise has been committed to the distributor reseller marketplace for 55 years,” he said, “and we will continue to serve this market in the future.”
