A Woman’s View Hosts Annual Networking Event at The PPAI Expo

ipromoteu-300On Jan. 11, 2017, A Woman’s View, an initiative created by iPROMOTEu designed to support women in the promotional products industry, hosted its annual networking reception at the PPAI Expo. This event was designed to recognize and celebrate the industry’s hard-working women. The venue was transformed into a chic cocktail party scene complete with entertainment, cool lighting, wine and hors d’oeuvres. A complimentary gift bag was provided to all attendees.

There were two very special surprises for the more than 200 women in attendance: live performances from a Cher impersonator and a speech from the senior vice president of retail from Wynn Resorts, Hedy Woodrow.

In addition, A Woman’s View presented Theresa Gonzalez of Stay Visible, an independent affiliate of iPROMOTEu, with the 2017 A Woman’s View Distributor Visionary Award; and Lori Bauer of BIC Graphic with the 2017 A Woman’s View Supplier Visionary Award. These awards are given in appreciation for commitment to the industry and recognize dedication, professionalism and success.

“It was an incredible honor and wonderful surprise to be given the Distributor Visionary Award,” Gonzalez said. “I am lucky to be amongst such wonderful women and proud to assist with offering comprehensive support to women in the industry. This year’s networking reception generated so much energy that accepting the award around a wonderful community of women was the highlight of my trip this year to Expo!”

“I am truly honored to be the first recipient of the Supplier Visionary Award,” Bauer said. “Through the organization of A Women’s View over the past two years, iPROMOTEu has made tremendous strides in further supporting their female affiliates in their personal and professional development. This active group of industry leaders uniquely addresses both the challenges and opportunities that women in business face with a proactive approach to focus on their advancement.”

Tayla Carpenter, who runs A Woman’s View program at iPROMOTEu, stated “Deciding to host the networking reception at the PPAI Expo, one of the most widely attended events in our industry, for a second year was an easy choice,” said Tayla Carpenter, who runs the A Woman’s View program at iPROMOTEu. “Our women distributors are driven and ready and willing to do what it takes to grow their businesses. It is a privilege to provide support and resources to assist them in accomplishing their goals.”
