As the old saying goes, “Wu-Tang is for the children.”
By that, we mean members of the Wu-Tang Clan are doing their part to help communities and people in need by selling co-branded hand sanitizer and T-shirts to benefit a city far from their own Shaolin (Staten Island).
Now, take this moment to toss up a quick W with sanitized hands to show appreciation.
Apparently back in April, the brand 36 Chambers, founded by Wu-Tang member RZA, donated some money to the Ottawa Food Bank. After raising awareness through a tweet from the group, the food bank received $280,000 in contributions.
“Whether it’s through music or our actions, the purpose of 36 Chambers and Wu-Tang is to always see a better tomorrow,” the brand said in a statement. “In collaboration with Mayor Jim Watson and the City of Ottawa, 36 Chambers is releasing the A Better Tomorrow Collection: three products that collectively will benefit the Ottawa Food Bank, Ottawa Mission and [the Children’s Hospital of Eastern Ontario.]”
The 36 Chambers x A Better Tomorrow collection includes the “Protect Ya Hands” hand sanitizer (a spoof of the song “Protect Ya Neck”), a T-shirt featuring the famous “W” logo with “Ottawa” in the middle, and a special dish from Pure Kitchen.

It’s always good when an artist or group can step up and use their well-recognized brand to do good. Wu-Tang is one of the most widely recognized brands in the world, and it’s even cooler that they’re branching out from their own backyards to help others up North.
