After its lengthy battle with the CPSC, Zen Magnets destroyed 500 lbs. of magnets, as ordered by a judge in the case of Zen Magnets vs. the Department of Justice.
Zen Magnets took the magnets to an industrial oven in Denver, where the company held a tongue-in-cheek “eulogy” for the controversial products.
“Truly, as we bid fond farewell to these magnets, we also mourn the smothered flame of insight and creativity they could have reflected from many a human soul for many years to come,” the company said in the speech.
