On Dec. 6, 2013, Charles River Apparel announced a 3-year, $250,000 partnership with growing nonprofit Community Rowing Inc. of Brighton, Mass. The partnership will benefit several components of CRI’s youth programs that include Girls Row Boston, Boys Row Boston and Let’s Row Boston. Each of these programs provides avenues for athletic development and personal growth as well as introduces new rowers to the sport, offer training for competitive rowers, and supports the under-represented within rowing.

Charles River Apparel Pays Boston Bruins Bet with Lobsters

Barry Lipsett, president and CEO of Boston-based apparel manufacturer Charles River Apparel, recently made good on a friendly wager with a long-time Charles River customer, Kevin Flynn of TBK Promotions in Chicago, Ill. The friendly wager was made based on which hometown team would win the 2013 NHL Stanley Cup Playoffs—the Boston Bruins or the Chicago Blackhawks.
