See You in San Diego?

Next Sunday, I’ll be in San Diego for our Power Meeting event. This will be my first Power Meeting event, and also my first time in California, and I’m looking forward to both equally. (OK, maybe I’m looking forward to the burritos out there the most, but the event is a close second.)

After booking my flight to San Diego, I started thinking. I had gone through just about my entire life having only been on a plane once before I took this job at Promo Marketing. When I first started, I, as a supposed adult, had to rely on the kindness and patience of my co-workers to show me how to check in to a flight and also explain to me what checking in to a flight meant. This was before my trip to my first PPAI Expo in 2015, and I was glued to the airplane window the whole flight out to Las Vegas.

Now, I’ve seen Cirque du Soleil and played roulette in Vegas, I’ve walked the boardwalk of Atlantic City, and now I’m going to see the Pacific Ocean for the first time in my life.

So, after a series of firsts in my relatively short life, I’m excited to add my first Power Meeting to the list. I’m sure I’ll be running around with a semi-terrified look on my face, just hoping not to mess anything up (similar to my first day of high school), but I’m looking forward to meeting more people in the industry and learning even more about the way things work.

Also, if any of you know your way around San Diego, hook me up with some solid taco spots!
