Ask the Accountant…
Question: If I use SAGE for my presentations and orders, why do I need QuickBooks?
Answer: SAGE Online has a comprehensive system with search, presentation, CRM, project, and order management system capabilities, to name a few. They are not, nor do they want to be, an accounting system. You will not be able to create financial statements, sales tax reports, or other accounting functions in SAGE. For that, and the remainder of your accounting needs, SAGE has an export option to move a complete set of order data from SAGE into QB—both QuickBooks Desktop and QBO.
QuickBooks is the No. 1 accounting program for small to medium-sized businesses for a reason. And, in my opinion, SAGE has utilized their strengths with those of QB to create a powerful system together.
