This GoPro Mount Fits on Your Empty Soda Bottle

GoPro cameras are no longer just for action sports’ elite. Yes, the advertisements still show athletes like professional surfers, motorcycle racers and mountain climbers using the compact cameras, but we’ve seen plenty of families take them on vacation, thanks to their size and video quality.

While the GoPro brand has made plenty of accessories and mounts for users to stick their cameras on their bikes or handles, others have jumped in to make compatible items. One of the most interesting items we’ve seen lately is this one, which allows people to stick their cameras on bottle caps and their personal tripods.

The best part? It’s only $6.

Photography hobbyists might already have their own tripod for traditional camera usage, so buying a GoPro-specific item would be overkill (and expensive).

On the GoPro site, an extension handle costs $59.99. If users can stick this item on their empty water bottle, they have an instant handle for their cameras. For photographers who don’t want their tripod to go obsolete, the same item quickly screws onto them.

The item, called the ROGETI Tripod-Bottle Mounts Suite for GoPro is currently listed on IndieGoGo, and has raised around $2,500 of its $4,000 goal. There are two sizes: One fits on standard soda bottles and a 1/4″ tripod thread, and the other fits on standard water bottle lids and 3/8″ threaded tripod.

“A GoPro user usually has a lot of accessories,” the IndieGoGo site says. “The selfie pod looks very important, and the floating grip is useful as well. Besides, with a mini tripod, you can get the awesome magic hour shots, then a tripod mount is a must. However, your backpack may not have enough room for all of the [equipment]. You are facing a difficult choice. Can we put all of these into [a] pocket?”

With so many end-users choosing convenience, this is a perfect item that caters to the ever-growing number of GoPro users who want to take their videography to the next level without shelling out too much cash or filling their suitcases.
